CGEC FORUM, July 17

The Forum will explore issues and current trends in geothermal power, direct use geothermal and geothermal heat pumps in California.  This Forum is suitable for anyone interested in geothermal and renewable energy.  Go to the "Agenda" tab to view topics and speakers.

CGEC FIELD TRIP, July 18
The bus will leave from the UC Davis campus and head to the Geysers Visitor Center and geothermal plant.  A presentation will be given during lunch at the Visitor Center followed by a tour of the facility by experienced Calpine staff.  The bus will then head to Frog's Leap Winery in Rutherford on our way back to Davis.  Frog's Leap is a 100% solar electric and GHP off-grid facility.  Here we will enjoy a tour of the system as well as a wine tasting. 

GRC/CGEC GEOCHEMISTRY SHORT COURSE, July 19 & 20

The CGEC will be co-hosting a geochemistry short course with the Geothermal Resources Council (GRC) on July 19 & 20.  Registration for this event is being handled by the GRC.  Please go to the folllowing website to register for that event: http://www.geothermal.org/geochemistry_workshop.html

NOTE: To attend the field trip you must be signed up for either the CGEC Forum or GRC short course.
