Innovation & Insight Day explores how insurers and financial institutions are leveraging technology in innovative ways to differentiate themselves in the increasingly competitive and challenging marketplace.  The event covers a variety of best practices and offers a sneak preview into the future trends of the industry. The event also serves as a showcase for the winners of Celent's annual Model Bank Awards and the Model Insurer Awards

Celent clients and the media can attend the event at no charge. Non-clients can attend for a registration fee of US$495.  Discounts are available for firms who send three or more attendees. Non-sponsoring vendor firms are limited to two representatives. How do you define innovation?

The Challenge: Unleash your inner Hemingway!
Ernest Hemingway once wrote a complete short story consisting of 6 words ("For sale: Baby shoes, never worn.").  Our challenge to you was to define Innovation using only 6 words.  We are happy to say the challenge was met!  We received almost 150 entries from around the world.  See below for a list of the winning entries and click here to view a list of all the entries. To take part in the ongoing discussion, join our LinkedIn discussion group (Innovation is...) devoted to the topic.

And the winners are...
  • First place: Human generated evolution. (Chirag Pancholi, Wisemuv, Inc.)
  • Second place: Creating tomorrow's today. (Dan Spaventa, NIIT Technologies)
  • Third place: No where. Now here. (Stacy Gorkoff, INETCO)
  • Fourth place: Bringing dreams into reality before others. (Edward Taylor, Misys)
  • Fifth place: Transforming lateral thinking into practical reality. (Neil Mockett, Charterhouse-Group)
Congratulations to all our winners!
