Welcome Colleagues:

The purpose of this meeting is to honor and recognize the major academic contributions of Dr. Nicolas Bazan to advancing lipid neurochemistry, neuroscience and ophthalmology, as well as his dedicated service to the ASN and ISN.

The Dana Foundation: The Arts of Neuroscientists: Nicolas Bazan

In addition, this satellite meeting will integrate signaling mediated by different classes of lipids and their involvement in neurological disorders. This integrative approach will provide an avenue for expert scientists in different areas to communicate and share information on lipids in cell signaling pathways in physiological and pathological conditions. Sessions will be organized based on functions and not lipid class. Our intention for this new integrative approach is to stimulate vigorous discussions and allow investigators to form networks promoting the development of novel strategies for prevention and treatment of neurological diseases.
