Most conference programs address how to measure success once you have engaged, but few cover the practical aspects of how to engage in the analysis and the internal approval processes and then select advisors and ultimately your provider. Key questions such as cultural fit and what should be retained, what should be offshore and what should be contracted need to be addressed and peer to peer learning is the key to leading your effort to success. The Finance Forum FAO Summit will be a hands on practical seminar style environment to allow you to do just that.

The FAO Summit has evolved into the F&A industry’s conference of record, following FAO Today Magazine’s successful November, 2007 Finance & Procurement Globalization Conference in Atlanta. The ’07 event drew nearly 200 Finance, Accounting, Shared Service and Globalization executives from Russell 1000® organizations, sharing their big-money-saving experience in the #1 business trend of our time—Globalization. The FAO Summit in NYC will again draw 200 of the world’s thought and action leaders in Finance & Accounting, Procurement and Shared Services process, in the world’s highest-energy peer-to-peer conference format. This year is time to get “Hands On” as we teach the “Art of the Deal” in F & A Outsourcing.

Led by company executive presentations from American Express (Fortune 500® #79), and many others, the FAO Summit will once again feature 22 headline-grabbing speakers in a highly-efficient 1-1/2 day program in the exclusive and historic Union League Club in NYC.

Attend alongside your peers—CFOs, VP Finance, VP Shared Services, Controllers, VP Procurement, Financial Operations, COOs, Audit Director. Executives charged with good governance, controls and savings in company Finance, Accounting, Finance Administration and Procurement operations: The FAO Summit is the one industry event to attend this year. Registration is simple online at www.FAOToday.com/conferences.

Hear and see presentations from CFOs whose Finance and Procurement operations have been transformed by globalization, from companies such as American Express. Also see and meet our dual Keynote speakers. First, Time Magazine Person of the Year, WorldCom Whistleblower, the first female member of the AICPA Hall of Fame and author of the new bestseller Extraordinary Circumstances: Journal of a Corporate Whistleblower, Cynthia Cooper. Globalization of back-office finance, accounting and procurement processes offers compelling opportunities to sharply reduce costs and improve services. But the questions are big and complex. What do you move? What locations work best? How do you manage the best selection process? What is best handled arms length and where does relationship building matter? How do you win the internal debate? And what is the best way to contract with and govern and provider partnership? How do you govern relationships offshore and cross-cultures? What are the real cost savings after handling all the complexities? Many conferences focus on how to measure success, the FAO Summit will focus on the practical steps of reaching the decision and creating the best partnership to insure success.

Topics covered will include:

  • Rationale for outsourcing and building the case for savings
  • Winning Over the Naysayers in Your Team
  • Selecting the Best Advisors
  • Service Level Agreements – What Works for Good Governance
  • Generating Communication and Partnership
  • Cultural Gaps and How to Manage
  • Negotiating Deal Terms that Work
  • Escalation Policies and When To Activate

Join us for an evening of fun and entertainment as a lucky practitioner attendee can win a luxury Caribbean Island get away, if they can win a game “Deal or No Deal” during the awards dinner.*
