Course Overview 
This OB/Gyn course offers didactic and “hands-on” training essential for the primary care provider in the outpatient clinical setting. Participants will learn skills related to:
  • "Normal" and "abnormal" gynecologic exams
  • Intrauterine contraceptive devices
  • Endometrial biopsies
  • Vulvar Biopsies
  • Adequate Pap collection techniques
Target Audience
Health care professionals who desire increased OB/Gyn skills and knowledge in their practice. Advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, and family practice physicians and residents will benefit from this comprehensive didactic program and hands-on practicum. The program will be useful to those in primary care and ambulatory clinic settings, and for those working in the specialties of women's health care.

Continuing Education Credit

Nursing (CNE Credit)
The University of Colorado College of Nursing is an approved provider of continuing nursing education credit by the Western Multi-State Division, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
This educational program for 7.25 contact hours is provided by the University of Colorado College of Nursing Office of Continuing Education.  (Contact hours will be given for day 1 only.) A CNE certificate will be emailed to participants within 30 days of the completion of the program.

Medical (CME Credit)
The University of Colorado School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The University of Colorado School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.25 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in this activity. (Credit will be given for day 1 only.)
A general Certificate of Attendance can be provided upon request

If you find you are unable to attend, please read this policy carefully.

Our programs are priced to provide the best value possible for current healthcare CE. Because of this, it is important to provide registration opportunities to all those interested in attending within the capacity allowable.   

If you request cancellation by 5:00 pm on Friday, May 19, 2017 the following refund policy will apply: 

Registration Fee minus $80.00 cancellation fee 

No refunds will be granted after 5/19/17.

If the College of Nursing must cancel the event, a full refund minus handling fees will be granted to participants.
