Overview
This conference is jointly provided by the University of Colorado College of Nursing Office of Continuing Education and the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. This symposium focuses on updated diagnoses and treatments of infectious diseases.  It includes didactic presentations with audience participation, small group lectures and case presentations. The goal of the course is to have participants leave with a skill set that will improve their clinical practice related to infectious diseases.

Target Audience

Advanced practice nurses, RNs, pharmacists, physician assistants, physicians, and allied health professionals.

Continuing Education Credit
Nursing (CNE Credit - includes pharmacology hours) The University of Colorado College of Nursing is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Western Multi-State Division, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.  
This offering for a maximum of 7 contact hours is provided by the College of Nursing.  Pharmacology credit to be determined.  A CNE certificate will be emailed to participants within 30 days after the conference. 

Pharmacy (ACPE)

The CU Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.  This program has been accredited for up to 7 contact hours of CE credit. To receive CE credit, participants must complete the online evaluation and provide their NABP eProfile ID number and month and day of their birth within 30 days of the program. CE credit will be uploaded to CPE Monitor within 60 days after the program. 

Medicine (CME) 
This Live activity, Bugs & Drugs 2017 Annual Conference, with a beginning date of 11/04/2017, has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 7.00 Prescribed Credit(s) by the American Academy of Family Physicians.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

AMA/AAFP Equivalency: AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed, not as Category 1.

Certificates of Attendance are available upon request.

ONLY one (1) type of credit can be requested for this conference, so please review choices with your accreditation board and/or review facility requirements before registering.
