The Contract Administration and Education Committee (formerly CASC) of APWA has been producing quality education since 2001.  Our certificate program has now been re-named as the CAEC Professional Certificate Program.  
Attendees can earn 4 credit hours towards a Certificate of Achievement at this APWA-CAEC committee workshop. Cost is free to APWA members, $20 for non-members.

Public Works Contract Administration Basics with Essential Documentation

documentation (noun):  material that provides official information or evidence or that serves as a record

This workshop is Back to Basics with a twist.

Are you surrounded with piles and piles of paperwork?  Do you sometimes wonder if all of it is essential? Or…what should you be keeping that you aren’t?

The focus of this workshop is on the basic statutory requirements of public works contract administration, including the solicitation, bid, award, construction, and closeout phases, and the essential documentation for each phase. Be prepared when the auditor or a member of the public asks you to produce evidence that you complied with all public works administration requirements.  A website link to dozens of sample documents will be provided to each attendee.
