Lace up your sneakers, get your game on and join us as Sports4Kids debuts Play On! This high-energy inaugural conference is focused on play, its benefits and how to bring it, implement it and use it to make a difference in your schools and communities. The conference runs May 18 – 20, at San Francisco’s Mission Bay Conference center.


  Come Play On! This is the first-ever comprehensive, hands-on conference dedicated solely to the importance of play. We’ve brought together some of the country’s top experts on play – everything from how to fund programs to how to inform policy to best practices for getting everyone involved in the game. Please join us at this unprecedented gathering of athletes, advocates, influencers and implementers and learn how you can bring positive, healthy play to your community.

Featured Speakers
Kevin Carroll is an author, speaker and agent for social change. With his effervescent energy, wit, and humor, Kevin helps people harness the power of sport and play as a vehicle for chasing and achieving their dreams.
Jessica Mendoza is a two-time Olympic medalist and member of the US Women's National Softball team and ProFastpitch X-Treme Tour. She is president of the Women's Sports Foundation and a board member of the NEA Foundation.
David Bornstein writes about social innovation. He is the author of The Price of a Dream: The Story of the Grameen Bank, How to Change the World and numerous articles.  His books have been translated into 20 languages.
Carla is the creator and host of Momma Got Game, an online sports talk show on Blog Talk Radio.  She is a former board member of Sports 4 Kids and has worked with Sports 4 Kids as a volunteer volleyball coach and basketball referee.
Jill C. Vialet is the founder and president of Sports4Kids, launching the organization in 1996 with two schools in California. Currently the organization brings play and physical activity to more than 65,000 children in 170 low-income schools in seven cities across the country
The country’s leading expert on play behavior and author of Play: How It Shapes the Brain, Opens the Imagination, and Invigorates the Soul, Dr. Brown says that as industries collapse, play is more important than ever.
