European Club for Paediatric Burns Workshop 2009
Tuesday, 03 November 2009 08:00 -
Friday, 06 November 2009 16:00 (GMT)

Buckland Hall
Brecon Beacons

Dear All.
We would like to provide you with updated information on this years' workshop being held at Buckland Hall, Powys, Wales from November 3rd to 6th.

There will of course be plenty of time for presentations and I would encourage you to submit abstracts using the online facility as soon as possible. There will be provision for oral presentations and the closing date for submission has been extended to October 12th.

We have a number of guest lectures this year, including an Interburns sponsored invited speaker and you will be hearing about paediatric burn management from across the globe. We have organized the meeting to ensure extremely comfortable surroundings and adequate time for informal discussions and catching up with old friends.

As is usual with ECPB meetings we also have one or two special events, including a visit to a local Welsh distillery where you can sample the delights of locally produced, environmentally sound spirits such as Welsh whisky and gin. On the subject of ‘environmentally sound’ we wish to establish a trend to try and reduce the ecological impact of meetings. To this end we will be using recyclable products where possible and will endeavour to keep printing to a minimum. Transport needs will be reduced by participants either staying at the venue itself or in a hotel 10 minutes drive away for which we will provide minibus transport. The food will be locally sourced wherever possible, and cakes and biscuits accompanying tea and coffee will be home produced!

Details about getting to Buckland Hall  can be downloaded HERE

We look forward to welcoming you here and hope to see you all in November.
