WHAT IS THE GLOBAL CHILDREN'S FORUM?

The Global Children’s Forum (GCF) exists to encourage and equip the global church for the evangelism and discipleship of children. It does so by bringing together key strategic leaders, church & denominational leaders, major agencies, network leaders and practitioners with exceptional children’s ministry expertise. Its task is to develop innovative strategies, models and resources and make them freely accessible to all. By partnering together as the global Body of Christ, under the headship of Christ, on the foundation of the Bible, GCF seeks the increased growth of His kingdom among the 2 billion children of the world. We also affirm that children are not just the recipients of ministry, but are capable of being used by God to impact their world.

Innovative activities of GCF continue throughout the year as small groups of people work together on projects through Action Groups. Periodically, we also meet face-to-face as a whole group to build the relationships on which everything else is based, to explore the implications of our values and the latest thinking on the evangelism and discipleship of children. GCF gatherings are working conferences and we spend substantial time exploring and developing the current projects of the Action Groups. These times intentionally bring together a small, strategic group to better facilitate our goals.

WHAT WILL BE THE FOCUS OF GCF4.0?

This year we will continue to spend significant time in Action Groups, working on the current projects (please see descriptions on the "Action Group Projects" tab). This year we will also focus on the GCF values and explore core Biblical and missional perspectives which shape our actions.  From this will come the opportunity to brainstorm and explore new possibilities. Additionally, time will be given to the development of regional collaboration and the implementation of GCF on the local level.
