Today we tour the “Unsinkable” Molly Brown House, the entirely restored home of Colorado’s most colorful Victorian heroine.  Born Margaret Tobin Brown, she received her unusual nickname, Molly, as a result of the courage and leadership she displayed during the sinking of the “Unsinkable” Titanic.  Located in the Capitol Hill area, the house was originally built in the late 1800's and reflects turn-of-the-century Victorian influence.  A privately guided tour of the premises conducted by tour guides in 1900‑style gowns reveals fascinating glimpses into the flamboyant lifestyle of a bygone era.  The Browns made frequent trips to Europe and Molly incorporated the ‘Grand Tour’ style into her decorating.

Next we visit the historic Brown Palace Hotel.  Known to natives as “The Brown,” this hotel has welcomed the rich and famous since opening in 1892.  The 230-room historic landmark is located on a corner in the heart of downtown Denver.  Your behind-the-scenes tour reveals loads of secrets! This approximately 45-minute to one hour historic tour highlights funny anecdotes relating to the general history of the Brown Palace Hotel and Spa.
