Welcome to Hartford!
Traveling to the ARRL Centennial Convention at the Connecticut Convention Center is easy…by plane, train, automobile or bus. The Connecticut Convention Center is interconnected with the Hartford Marriott Downtown—our convention headquarters hotel. The complex is a beautiful, contemporary facility overlooking the Connecticut River. There are also many other nearby hotel options listed below.

Getting Here
…by Plane

All major airlines fly into nearby Bradley International Airport (BDL), located in Windsor Locks, just 12 miles from Hartford. There are many major rental car agencies at the airport. Book ahead! Many of the hotels offer transportation from the airport to the hotels.

The Bradley Flyer, a quick and economical bus service operated by CTTransit between Bradley International Airport and downtown Hartford, now costs $1.50 each way (exact change in coins and/or dollar bills, please). More information about the Bradley Flyer, including a link to a map and schedules, may be found at http://www.cttransit.com/routesschedules/bradleyflyer.asp. This site also contains a Downtown Hartford map showing the bus stops of the Bradley Flyer as well as those of the Hartford DASH, the new name for the free Downtown Hartford shuttle bus.

Your hotel and on-site airport representatives can also direct you to taxi services and other transportation options.

…by Train or Bus
Trains and buses travel into Union Station Hartford (HFD). Union Station services Amtrak, Bonanza, Greyhound, Peter Pan and others.

Parking

Connecticut Convention Center Garage and Lot. The Connecticut Convention Center has plenty of onsite parking spaces including an 8 floor garage and outdoor spaces for oversized vehicles in the surface lot. ARRL has negotiated a discounted parking rate for the convention. The Convention Center parking garage will have a $10 per day max rate. There are also many other nearby garages and lots. The Connecticut Convention Center’s parking is operated by LAZ Parking. The $10 per day max rate will be honored at the LAZ lots/garages at the convention center, Front St, and Science Center.

R&G Parking Lot: Located corner of Main Street & S. Morgan Street. This parking lot is a 13 minute walk from the convention center and offers a daily rate of $4. Your vehicle can be left overnight, though the lot is unattended at night (park overnight at your own risk). The daily rate for RVs will be no more than $12 per day depending on the size of the vehicle and could be occupied. The lot is also on the free downtown DASH shuttle route—which includes pickup and drop-off at the Connecticut Convention Center. For more information see www.rgbellc.com
