Jacob Jegher
  Research Director

  Jacob Jegher is a Research Director within Celent’s banking group. Jacob’s research focuses on emerging technologies and business strategies in retail and wholesale banking. He heads up Celent’s online banking research (consumer, small business, corporate cash management) and is a recognized thought leader in this space. His recent research has focused on next-generation online and mobile banking, personal financial management, social media, and financial technology startups. Jacob has provided strategic consulting on issues ranging from online channel strategy to vendor selection.

Jacob manages Celent’s IT spending research and is the primary author of Celent’s global IT spending report. He also established the Model Bank initiative and is the creator of Celent’s annual Innovation and Insight Day.

Jacob has been widely quoted in the press including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, the Associated Press, the Globe & Mail, and the Financial Post. He is an experienced speaker and has presented at numerous national conferences and corporate events, including the NACHA Payments and BAI Retail Delivery conferences.

Dan Latimore
Senior Vice President
  Daniel W. Latimore, CFA, is the Senior Vice President of Celent’s Banking group and is based in the firm’s Boston office. Daniel’s areas of focus include consumer behavior, innovation, and technology-enabled strategy.
Daniel has been widely quoted in the press, including the Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe, CNBC and CNBC Europe, and American Banker. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and client presentations, having delivered addresses in more than a dozen countries to audiences ranging from intimate meetings with CEOs and central banks to keynote conference speeches.

Daniel led research groups at Deloitte and IBM, worked in industry at Merrill Lynch (in New York, Tokyo, and London) and Liberty Mutual, and was a consultant at McKinsey & Co.

Bob Meara
Senior Analyst
  Bob Meara is a senior analyst in Celent's banking group. Bob's research focuses on the branch and ATM delivery channels, check and remittance processing and cash automation technologies. A well known authority on remote deposit capture, Bob has led multiple consulting engagements including several proprietary research projects involving financial services hardware, software and the impact of self-service on branch banking.

Before joining Celent, Bob was the director of product marketing at Alogent. In this role, he positioned and launched a series of Check 21 payments solutions.

Prior to Alogent, Mr. Meara has also held positions in marketing and brand management at Stonebridge Technologies, Telemate.net Software, BellSouth, Hayes Corporation, and Procter & Gamble in addition to being a commissioned naval officer.
