Registration Cost for Meeting Planners

The registration cost for qualified meeting planners to attend CMCA's Spring Showcase is only $50.00, if you register by May 1.   After that date, registration will be $75..  This covers your meals and activities from Tuesday evening, April 29 through Thursday evening, May 1, with the exception of Wednesday night.   Wednesday night we are asking suppliers to take out planners in Rapid City.

You may bring a spouse, friend or significant other for a cost of $250.   Spaces are limited.
   
Hotels

You have your choice of three hotels.   Most of our time will be in the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.   Transportation from the hotels to the Rushmore Plaza will be provided complimentary.

The Hotel Alex Johnson and the Adoba are in downtown Rapid City, about 5 blocks apart.   They are both nice hotels but very different from each other.    The third hotel is the Rushmore Plaza Holiday Inn.    It is next door to the Civic Center thus walkable to the meeting space.    The hotel is nice but is currently under renovation.

All hotels are including a hot breakfast buffet with your room rate.    The Adoba and the Alex Johnson hotels also provide complimentary services such as self-parking, airport transportation, Wi-Fi, 24 hour Front Desk, 24 hour fitness center,  and USA today.   The Holiday Inn provides a full service restaurant, complimentary parking, bellman service, indoor pool, complimentary Wi-Fi and complimentary airport shuttle.

Hotel Alex Johnson

Built in the Roaring Twenties by a railroader who had a flair for luxury and a deep appreciation of the Sioux Indian culture, the Hotel is a landmark of the downtown skyline. The Hotel Alex Johnson is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is renowned for hosting six U.S Presidents, including Calvin Coolidge, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford & Ronald Regan.

Adoba Hotel

Total Cost for a Qualified Meeting Planner to Attend:

Registration:      $50.00

Hotel Room Rate:     $39.00/night plus tax  ($44.32 total)

All of your meals and transportation during CMCA’s show will be covered with the exception of Wednesday night dinner.    That meal is for you to enjoy the local restaurants.

Financial assistance is available to qualified planners.    The maximum assistance available is up to $500 for travel and $125 toward hotel (during the dates of the show only).

Closest Airport:

Rapid City, SD is the closest airport.   The airport code is RAP

The airport is 12 miles from Rapid City.   It takes 10 - 15 minutes to get from the airport to the hotels.    The hotels provide complimentary airport transportation.

Parking:   Self-parking is complimentary

Tradeshow -  We are doing a reverse tradeshow which means that the meeting planners will sit at the tables and the suppliers will come to you.    All planners must attend the reverse tradeshow portion of the event.  

BRING A RFP!
    The success of our show in the eyes of the suppliers depends on whether they receive active RFPs. 

Dress Code - The dress code for all events is casual.
