Hoffman Estates, Illinois
Wednesday, June 25, 2014

Stephanie Harvey, author of Nonfiction Matters and co-author of Strategies That Work, Comprehension and Collaboration, Connecting Comprehension with Technology and The Comprehension Toolkit series , invites you to spend three days at her K-8 summer  literacy institute,  Reading is Thinking 2.0. Many of you may have attended Reading Is Thinking in the past.  This enhanced version of RIT focuses,  as always, on comprehension theory and practice, as well as collaboration, inquiry based learning, content literacy and thoughtful technology integration. An educator for over forty years,  Steph has been a classroom teacher, a special ed teacher,  a literacy coach, and now works as a staff developer, literacy consultant and author. Insatiably curious about student thinking, Steph is a teacher,  first and foremost, and  continues to work in schools on a regular basis, savoring any time spent with kids.

Come and learn more about comprehension, collaboration, inquiry based learning , content literacy and technology integration. This year, Steph is delighted to have four  amazing educators presenting sessions  at RIT 2.0. Sara Holbrook, Michael Salinger, Katie Muhtaris, and Kristin Ziemke will share ways to thoughtfully enhance reading and writing instruction with technology.  Descriptions of their sessions can be found here!

Please join Steph et al for Reading is Thinking 2.0 2014.  Appropriate for K-8  teachers, librarians, staff developers, literacy coaches, tech specialists and administrators.
