PPWC2015 Thursday Morning Programs:

LIFE AFTER DEATH: A Glimpse Beyond

Does life end with the last breath? Professional Ghost Hunters and Psychic mediums will discuss their experiences as they try to prove that there is much more beyond the final heart beat. Take a glimpse beyond as they step into the afterlife.

AUTHOR 101: Let the Journey Begin

Adventure calls and you want to write a book... now what? Angel Smits and Bob Spiller will provide a map and compass to help determine where you stand as a writer and what the next steps of your writing journey should be.

READING LIKE AN EDITOR: Edit Your Novel Like a Pro

Freelance Editor Bree Ervin provides a hands-on workshop that will walk attendees through the self-editing process. Let Bree show you how to shape your rough draft from a brain dump to a submission/publish-ready novel.

JL Fields will show you how to build a writing profession and live the scribe’s life. Do you want to turn your life's passion into a writing reality? In this workshop, JL Fields will use her experience to provide the blueprint for building your dream.

PPWC2015  Thursday Afternoon Programs:

LIFE AFTER DEATH: Facts and Faiths

This discussion will explore death and what happens after that fatal moment. Funeral Director Jim Snell will talk about the events leading up to interment or cremation. Then, a group of religious experts will discuss the many doctrines and beliefs regarding what happens when souls move on.

THE SOUND OF WRITING: How Should Your Book Sound and Why

Genre, Voice and Tone are three intricately woven craft elements that many writers are not aware, let alone know how to use. Trai Cartwright will expose each element individually, then show how to intertwine their powers to build the core theme of your book and enthrall readers.

QUERIES WITH CLAWS: Compose a Query Letter That Grabs Attention

Agents and Editors see thousands of queries a year. The query letter has the power to determine if your manuscript will get read or even published. Andrea Somberg, a literary agent with Harvey Klinger, Inc, will show you how to write the perfect query letter and leave agents and editors eager to read more.

The Romance genre is sizzling hot – there is no other genre more lucrative or enduring. From emotional story arcs, tropes, cliches, publishing options and even love scenes that won't make you cringe - Barbara Samuel's boot camp will explore everything and seduce you into the world of Romantic Fiction.

*Please note: Workshop titles, locations, and faculty are all subject to change without notice. PPW will do its best to keep you informed, but we cannot guarantee there won't be changes due to unforeseen circumstances. Thank you for you cooperation and patience.
