William Trout
Senior Analyst


William Trout is a senior analyst in Celent’s Wealth Management group. His research centers on technology strategy and innovation in the securities, wealth management and banking industries. He has particular expertise in customer experience, data analytics, segmentation, remote delivery models, and pricing and product design. Within the wealth management arena, his interests include financial planning, investment advisory, retail brokerage, and trust. Prior to joining Celent, William was head of product and segment development for affluent and high net worth customers within BBVA Compass, as well as a member of the BBVA Group’s global Private Banking management team. Earlier responsibilities during his 10-year tenure included national leadership positions in the communications, planning, and investments areas. Prior to joining BBVA Compass, William worked in a marketing capacity for a boutique investment management firm with interests in Latin America. William is a co-founder of the Bank Innovators Council and has spoken at multiple conferences and seminars. He is a publisher of the Banking from the Inside Out blog and a lively commentator on the changes taking place within the banking and wealth management ecosystems.

Jay Wolstenholme
Senior Analyst

  Jay Wolstenholme is a Senior Analyst within Celent’s Securities and Investments group and is based in the New York office. Jay’s research focuses on Investment Services including portfolio management, portfolio accounting, collateral management and all front, middle and back office processes. His professional experience includes, equities, fixed income, commodities and derivatives trading and processing. Jay has over 25 years of experience within Investment Services handling technology and business processes for equity, fixed income and treasury trading desks. He has managed, developed and overseen implementations of trading, pricing, analytics and risk systems including middle and back office work flow processes. Additionally, he developed some of the first S&P 500 program trading applications while at Kidder Peabody and Salomon Brothers. He is a recognized industry speaker and has been quoted in Institutional Investor, Securities Industry News, Wall Street & Technology, Water’s Technology and various other industry periodicals. Before joining Celent, Jay was a Research Director in Gartner’s Banking and Investment Services Group and a Research Director of Capital Markets at Hewlett Packard, concentrating on investment management solutions, risk analytics and trading systems. Previously, he was a group director at UBS Investment Bank and Lehman Brothers.

Ashley Globerman


Ashley Globerman is an analyst in Celent's Wealth Management group and is based in the firm's London office. Her area of expertise is the European wealth management market, including the study of digital strategies for the self-directed and retail brokerage channels. Ashley has been quoted in the press, including eFinancialNews, WealthBriefing.com, Private Asset Management (PAM) magazine, and Global Custody. Prior to joining Celent, she was based in New York and worked for Credit Suisse Asset Management as a Junior Account Manager on the institutional sales and consultant coverage teams for North America. Previously, Ashley worked for Lyxor Asset Management as an Analyst on the operational due diligence team, which was responsible for evaluating the overall risk of the platform’s hedge fund managers while working closely with legal, risk, marketing, and sales teams.
