WHO SHOULD ATTEND? WHY ATTEND?

Really, anyone experiencing pressure in life and work. People working in high pressure situations– executives, managers, teachers, first responders, parents, and counselors would benefit from Performing Under Pressure and Pressure Solutions. Most do not perform well under pressure and that is a problem. This seminar is the solution. How do you perform under pressure? Can you summon your talent at will? Can you deliver on a deadline? Can you sleep at night?  The truth is, nobody does better under pressure. In fact, most of us crumble. Studies conducted around the world demonstrate pressure downgrades your cognitive success tools (attention, memory, judgment, decision making), disrupts your psychomotor skills, bends your ethics, and adds conflict to your relationships. Contrary to conventional wisdom, the edge is not rising to the occasion. The edge is not succumbing to the injurious effects of pressure. Bottom line–pressure is the enemy of your success.

This one day institute is tailor made for people and organizations trying to do their best in the today’s hectic and fast-paced life, and living in the 21st century.
Participate and learn key strategies and pressure solutions for becoming pressure-less. Develop a COTE of Armor to experience and achieve a path to:

  • Unleash Creative Potential: Numerous studies show pressure diminishes creativity, problem solving, and innovation for individuals and teams.
  • Enhanced Morale: Organizations who help their employees handle pressure experience a “Can do” positive work environment because employees experience greater success.
  • Greater Integrity: Pressure at work has been identified as perhaps the leading cause for ethical violations.
  • Increased Talent Retention: Nobody likes to be under pressure. Companies that don't know how to lessen it are apt to lose their most talented individuals to a pressure-less culture.
  • More Employee Engagement: People who handle pressure approach their job with enthusiasm and an opportunity to advance themselves. They become more engaged in their work.
  • Greater Sales: Individuals do better in their pressure moment–give more effective presentations, better sales calls, close more sales.
  • Better Employee Health: Many deal with pressure by smoking, drinking, and drugs.
  • Less Conflict: People who handle pressure communicate more effectively with each other. Blame and anger often color the communications for those who are under pressure.
  • More Optimistic Workforce: Numerous studies indicate an optimistic workforce is more enthusiastic, more engergized, tries harder, and gets better results.
  • A Tenacious Organization: A cohesive team that rallies when behind, turns setbacks to comebacks and finds pathways to success.
Topics Covered:
  • 4 Differences between Stress and Pressure: Most people confuse the two to their detriment.
  • How pressure attacks our human performance system.
  • 3 Myths of Pressure: Dispelling them allows you to do better.
  • Pressure Traps: How we inadvertently create pressure for ourselves and for others.
  • How We Choke: Why we often perform our worst when we want our best.
  • 22 Pressure Solutions for doing your best when it matters the most.
  • Building Your COTE of Armor (Weisinger, 2015).
