The 2017 Regional Build-a-Pool Conference series will offer comprehensive education in building, renovating and programming new and existing facilities. USA Swimming member clubs and private and public organizations are encouraged to take advantage of this educational resource.  This two day workshop style events are conducted by USA Swimming Facilities Development staff.

The presentation will provide innovative ideas and examples for new building and renovations. USA Swimming member clubs, private and public organizations are encouraged to take advantage of this educational resource. To date we estimate these workshops have been an important part of over 140 new facilities being commissioned. They have also played a supporting role in over 100 additional projects. Our professional providers have played a major part in these successes.

 The format offers information about:

·       Programming pools for financial sustainability

·       Renovating and upgrading/changing existing pools

·       Expanding or adding on to pools

·       Designing and building new facilities

·       Enterprise Plans to help with business plans and feasibility studies

·       The take home power point presentation

In addition to the Regional Build a Pool Conferences we offer fee based workshops that are customized to provide the most up to date information on programming for sustainability.  The USA Swimming staff presenters provide information on …..

·       developing a plan for building the new model Aquatic Center

·       developing your project committee

·       researching how you will utilize the 4 Aquatic Pillars and program management options

·       gaining information on budget planning – value received pricing

·       making decisions on the physical pool itself

Courses can help committee members and project leaders keep from getting the “cart before the horse” which is one of the main reasons pool projects fail.

Target Audiences:

·       Current aquatic management staff

·       Future aquatic management staff

·       Individuals and group committees

·       Park and Rec departments and municipal managers
