Brad Bailey
Research Director

  Brad Bailey is a research director with Celent's Securities and Investments practice, and is based in the firm's New York office. He is an expert in electronic trading of equities, foreign exchange derivatives, credit, rates, and futures. His research focus is on emerging technology and trading technology across asset classes. Brad has more than 20 years of Wall Street industry experience in trading, technology, sales, strategy, analysis, and consulting. A noted thought leader, he is quoted in the industry and general press, including: WSJ, Financial Times, Bloomberg Business Week, & Forbes, as well as radio and TV. Prior to Celent, he spent nearly seven years at KCG Holdings (formerly Knight Capital) as the Director of Business Development and Corporate Strategy. There he identified opportunities to expand across asset classes, to grow business lines via tactical acquisition, strategic investment, and organic business development. He also served on the boards of several of the firm’s affiliate companies.

Josephine de Chazournes
Senior Analyst
Capital Markets

Joséphine de Chazournes is a senior analyst with Celent’s Securities & Investments practice and is based in Milan. Her research focuses on capital markets innovation and emerging technologies. She covers the legacy and ecosystem transformation theme across capital markets, including across asset classes, cash and derivatives, listed and OTC, and from pre- to post-trade. Joséphine is a frequent speaker on  strategy, regulation, and the impact of technology on fixed income and FX market infrastructure. Prior to joining Celent, Joséphine was a business strategy and development consultant with European retail bond MTF EuroTLX, where she mainly helped design their European expansion strategy, including their participation to the request for information of a new European Institutional Credit MTF by the Cassiopeia Committee, sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy and Finance. Previously Joséphine worked with the London Stock Exchange and Borsa Italiana, taking care of their relationship and projects with international investors. Prior to that, she was a senior associate with Goldman Sachs International’s capital markets internal strategy and management team in London, with a focus on their fixed income and equity derivatives activities. She started her career as a management consultant with strategy boutique Corporate Value Associates in London.

Cubillas Ding
Research Director

  Cubillas Ding is a research director with Celent's Securities and Investments practice and is based in the firm's London office. Mr. Ding's expertise lies in global financial markets, securities IT strategy, and enterprise risk management. Cubillas' research focuses on market risk, credit risk, operational risk, and regulatory compliance, as well as the latest regulatory developments such as Basel II, Sarbanes-Oxley, Solvency 2, anti-money laundering / know your customer (AML/KYC), and International Accounting Standards legislation and their impact on financial institutions. His recent consulting work involves advising clients on vendor solutions, compliance best practices, and understanding regulatory impact to business models. He has been widely referenced in the press, including Wall Street & Technology, Risk Magazine, and Operational Risk & Compliance. Before joining Celent, Cubillas was a senior analyst at Datamonitor. There his research focused on IT strategies, key spending trends, and operational issues facing the asset management, investment, and securities services, corporate/commercial banking, and brokerage sectors.

John Dwyer
Senior Analyst

  John is a Senior Analyst in Celent’s Securities & Investments practice and is based in the firm’s London office. His research focuses on Capital Markets FinTech including: Blockchain/ DLT; RegTech; and evolution of the buy-side and sell-side business models. His thought-leadership regarding Blockchain/ DLT has addressed key areas including: macro/ micro prudential management of the financial system; central bank money; gold; private markets; and the potential to build new value chains/ investable assets. He has participated in RegTech Accelerators, judged FinTech competitions, and led discussions on various panels at major FinTech conferences globally. John has experience working with executives across financial services on strategy, capital raising, and advisory. He spent fourteen years in equity capital markets (ECM) within investment banking at Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, and Macquarie Capital. He was Head of Emerging Markets ECM, Macquarie Capital; Natural Resources ECM, Macquarie Capital; and Middle East ECM, Goldman Sachs. His experience straddles both public and private equity markets advising governments, private equity, venture capital, and corporates on financings. He has a detailed understanding of global capital flows and demand potential from traditional institutional investors, hedge funds, and sovereign wealth funds.

Arin Ray
Capital Markets

  Arin Ray is an analyst with Celent's Securities & Investments practice and is based in the firm's New York office. Arin's expertise lies in capital markets where he has extensive research experience in exchange trading, clearing and settlement, brokerages, and use of technology in capital markets. In his recent consulting work, he has advised a large European financial services provider to devise their post trade (settlement) strategy, a tier 1 Japanese brokerage in their product and technology strategy, and a leading international exchange in their market entry and growth strategy in Asian markets. He has published research reports on exchange and over the counter trading, exchange strategies, and adoption of trading technology in different sub-segments of capital markets.
