About Our Speaker: 

Todd has over 15-years experience with marketing in the hearing aid industry and passionately serves as the Director of Digital Marketing at Widex USA. His professional focus is in helping audiology practices grow their practices through cost-effective and profitable digital marketing strategies. He holds a Master's of Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, MN as well as a Bachelor of Arts from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN. Todd also serves as an adjunct faculty for the MBA program at St. Catherine's University in St. Paul, MN.

About Our Speaker: 

Mike Stone graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1978 and is the fourth generation owner of Stone-Lang Company. He has been involved in the medical products and hearing rehabilitation field for over 40 years. He is well known in the hearing health care field and has held many national and local leadership positions, including 16th president of the International Hearing Society. Mike and his wife, Debbie Stone, have two children and enjoy spending time traveling.

About Our Speaker: 

Laura is the Founder and President of Audiology Associates of Georgia from 1988 through 2014. She and her team grew the company to over two-million dollars a year in sales with two offices before selling the practice. Laura has served as President of the Georgia Society of Hearing Professionals, Chair of the National Board for Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences, and Chair of the Exam Committee of NBC-HIS. Since selling her practice, Laura has worked as a consultant with clients who want to kick their practice up to the next level.

IHS NATIONAL ISSUES UPDATE FOR HEARING HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS

About our speaker:


This presentation will focus on several key issues impacting the hearing aid dispensing profession, including activity at the federal level being undertaken by the Administrative Branch and work groups related to accessibility and affordability of hearing aids, as well as direct-to-consumer hearing aid sales. This presentation will also be reviewing components of the Affordable Care Act that relate to hearing healthcare, and international activity aimed at the development of hearing aid fitting management standards. Finally, she will discuss other IHS initiatives that relate to provider parity, expanding the pipeline of provider, professional development, and connectivity.
