13th Summer Institute on Migration and Global Health

 The organizers of the 13th Summer Institute on Migration and Global Health have developed a guide to help you plan your time during the week of the event. We hope you will find it useful. You can access it here.

How to get there

By Air: The closest airports are Oakland International Airport and San Francisco International Airport.

For driving and parking directions to The California Endowment (TCE) Oakland Center click here

We highly recommend the use of public transportation to travel within the Bay Area, particularly the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit). For more information visit BART.
The closest BART station to TCE Oakland Center is 19th St. Oakland 

Transportation from and to The California Endowment can be done through the Green Shuttle which is free of charge. From the Z Hotel Oakland (details below) you can take the shuttle in Jack London Square station and get of in either 20th St. or Webster and 20th Street which is right in front of the venue. 



*Please note - The California Endowment moved in Fall 2017 to 2000 Franklin St. The event will be at the new location, which is a few blocks away from the old location on Broadway and 12th Street. 



Lodging

The Summer Institute on Migration and Global Health organizers have blocked some rooms for participants at a special rate at the Z Hotel Jack London Square.

    - Students:  $250


    Registration fee includes: Access to four-days presentations, workshops, field trip, materials, welcoming reception, lunch and coffee breaks.

    *Deadline for payment by check is June 1st. 

    Cancellation Deadline: June 8, 2018.
    If you need to cancel your registration a 20% administration fee will be charged. Cancellations made after June 8 are not refundable.
