Joe Godges, PT, DPT
Joe Godges is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Clinical Physical Therapy in the Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy at the University of Southern California.  Dr. Godges was the ICF-based Clinical Practice Guidelines Editor for the Orthopaedic Section of the APTA, Inc., from 2016 to 2017.  His previous service to the physical therapy profession also included being member of the Board of Directors for the Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapyand the Orthopaedic Section of the APTA, Inc., as well as being a member of the Orthopaedic Specialty Council of the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and the APTA’s Clinical Residency and Fellowship Credentialing Committee. He has spent the last 28 years of his career training physical therapy residents and fellows in clinical residency and fellowship programs for Kaiser Permanente and USC. Part of Dr. Godges' professional development included receiving his MA in counseling psychology from Loyola Marymount University, completion of the two-year training process to become a Certified Rolfer from the Rolf Institute in Boulder, Colorado, completion of the Post-graduate PNF Curriculum at Kaiser Vallejo, and completion of the certification training in Manual Therapy from the Institute of Graduate Health Sciences. Dr. Godges was one of the original 29 certified clinical specialists in orthopaedic physical therapy in 1989 and has recertified his OCS twice since then.
