LSA Communicators Network
Tell Your Stories - online!

Monday, April 26: 9:00am - 5:00pm

The hottest buzzwords in communications are, dare we say it, “storytelling” and “social media.” Gordon Mayer of Chicago’s Community Media Workshop presents lessons learned on both and, more importantly, how to integrate storytelling and narrative to engage audiences with innovative Web 2.0 platforms and tools. This session will explore how communications strategy and social media are a natural fit—all the old rules we already know about goal, audience, and message not only still apply online, they actually work even better in a Web 2.0 world than in the good old days (aka last year). Participants in this three-hour session will cover:

  • Applying your communications strategy to your social media assets
  • How web 2.0 tools have changed the news – and what that means for our communications
  • Online storyelling methods par excellence

The day will also provide ample time to meet and network with professional communicators from other Lutheran organizations to share real life solutions. Fee includes continental breakfast.
