Listen to Andrew Cohen and Carter Phipps dialogue and answer questions about Evolutionary Enlightenment, an Evolutionary worldview, and how the Being & Becoming Process that Andrew has pioneered over 25 years facilitates individual and collective development. (1 hour 30 mins)
Taken from a Q&A call with Andrew Cohen earlier this year, in this 30 minute audio highlight you will hear first hand how Andrew guides people on Being & Becoming Retreats, and how he regards success as the collective emergence of a new cultural worldspace between retreat participants. (30 mins)
Enjoy this classic animated audio clip of a young woman in dialogue with Andrew Cohen on retreat. She describers her experience of the 'Supermind.'
Theme: 'Something' is meditating on Nothing, and we are the something.
Theme: If you contemplate consciousness, and assume the position of consciousness, you experience lightness of being and joy, since that is its nature. It's a position you take, not a technique. (8 mins)
Theme: The mind is a machine and has no self nature. If you know it’s not you, then you don’t have to do anything about it (9 mins)
Theme: Assume no relationship to the content of consciousness to discover the deepest dimension of self, the nature of which is inherent freedom. (6 mins)
Theme: Emotional steadiness in one’s life comes from how profoundly we understand having no relationship to the content of consciousness. (9 mins)
Theme: The most fundamental shift from seeing oneself as a fragment to seeing oneself as never having been separate from the whole. (10 mins)
Theme: Only in a context of absolute withdrawal from engagement can you be free of all problems. When you awaken to the deepest part of yourself which has never been born can you experience the spiritual joy of unconditional freedom. (7 mins)
Theme: The nature of freedom itself - not freedom in relationship to anything else, or from anything. The overwhelming significance of awakening to the deepest dimension of our self which cannot be grasped or understood by the mind. (11 mins)
Theme: Experiences of ultimacy are given value and proven by our own transformation. Taking this radical position makes it real and creates traction in the world. (9 mins)
Theme: Discover and rediscover the deepest nature of yourself is inherent freedom, and keep rediscovering that the mind is a mechanical process.
Emergence means creating the conditions for higher potentials that never existed before to enter into time and space. Our Success depends upon you the individual. (7 min)
A very big part of a transformational process is going back to before the beginning and discovering a source of pure motivation that is uncorrupted by ego. (8 min)
In those times when we are undistracted by self-concern we fall into a natural state where there is a calm abiding, a lightness of being and spontaneous joy. What you are experiencing is the nature of your own consciousness as it already is. (8 min)
Spirit is both a pull all the way back to before the beginning and simultaneously, paradoxically also the desire to exist and to become. (11 min)
Big ideas need to accompany mystical insight in order to consciously embrace the developmental implications of what these insights reveal to us about the human experience and life as a whole. (7 min)
If you recognize that in order to achieve this particular goal you need to make a quantum leap in your own transformation, then you have to realize that it is in your hands. (9 min)
Do I have the moral courage and fortitude to be able to take on board that I am the eyes and the ears of the leading edge of a process that had a beginning fourteen billion years ago? (10 min)
From the perspective of evolutionary non-duality this is your project. When you let this in as absolute truth, your reason for being here is to give rise to that which is new. (10 min)
In all of manifestation the greatest truth is that we are going somewhere. (10 min)
We see this larger developmental process at work through a very big historical lens of cultural development, and we begin to see that something is really trying to happen here through the human experiment. (10 min)
On Saturday February 25th 2012, author Michael Wombacher held a conference call to answer questions about what it's like to attend a retreat with Andrew Cohen.
