In this session, we will demonstrate the RailDOCS Hours of Service (HoS) web application that keeps track of the hours of service for railroad employees and railroad contractors. The service meets the recordkeeping requirements of the Rail Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (RSIA), and has been designed to comply with 49CFR 228. Hours of Service provides an accurate, real-time view of employee rest status and availability and helps compliance with the significant changes in the Hours of Service law, including personnel applicability, minimum off-duty time and ‘undisturbed’ rest periods.
We will also be discussing our plans to expand our Hours of Service application to support additional disciplines such as Train Crews and Dispatchers.
In this session we will demonstrate the new RailDOCS Track Inspections and Defect Remediation system designed to address some of the key inspection and remediation challenges facing today¹s track departments. A suite of applications support a detailed graphical track layout view, and an FRA rule wizard with GPS coordinate tagging for precise defect location identification. When the inspection and defect reports are synchronized with the RailDOCS Data Center, they are available for immediate viewing from any internet connected web browser. The system is delivered to the track workers on the RailDOCS Mobile Business Platform via the TDS Nomad LEL handheld device.
