8:30 a.m.   Registration and Continental Breakfast
Pick up NEED materials and conference supplies. NEED curriculum packet are sponsored by ComEd for each teacher attending the workshop. Packets include supplemental classroom materials, class-sets of Energy Infobooks at four grade levels, and much more! 9:00 a.m. Energy Efficiency Bingo! 
Focus your mind on the types of energy topics you’ll be learning about, meet your fellow participants, and win valuable prizes playing Energy Bingo!

9:30 a.m. Welcoming Program
Jana Jones, ComEd Marketing and Environmental Programs
This workshop provides you the opportunity to increase your energy knowledge as a consumer and as an educator. The lessons shared will provide a good foundation for teachers teaching students of all ages and all learning styles.

10:00 a.m. The Science of Energy
Learn more about the forms of energy while experimenting with the NEED Science of Energy kit. Kits are sponsored for participating teachers, compliments of ComEd.

11:30 a.m. 11:30 a.m. Sources of Energy and Electricity - Energy Roundup and Electric Connections
After learning about the forms of energy with the Science of Energy, participants will begin studying the sources of energy – What are they? Where do they come from? And how do we use each of the 10 sources of energy? Discover how the different energy sources contribute to the generation of electricity.

12:00 p.m. Lunch and the Energy Conservation at Home and School Web
This quick lesson allows participants to understand their home and school as a system and to better conserve energy resources.

1:00 p.m. Lights for Learning
Learn more about this energy efficient fundraising opportunity!

1:15 p.m. Efficiency and Conservation At Home and School – Saving Energy Expo 
Using the tools from NEED's Monitoring and Mentoring tools. the Home Energy Efficiency Kit, the Energy Infobooks, develop exhibits to teach your fellow participants about energy efficiency at home and at school.

2:30 p.m. The Carbon Cycle Simulation
This lesson allows participants to better understand the carbon cycle and its relationship to climate change.

3:00 p.m. All the Great Stuff! 
The workshop wraps-up with evaluation, a post-survey of knowledge, and requesting your materials.

3:15 p.m. Adjourn!
