VENUE

The conference will be hosted at the Hilton El Conquistador in Tucson, Arizona. The Hilton El Conquistador offers an excellent environment with a large meeting room, restaurant, cafe and bar, and a medium-sized room for breakout sessions. The Conquistador also offers an outstanding golf course and other recreational amenities. The hotel offers a block of rooms at discounted rates for participants who register 3 months prior to the conference. After that date the discount will not be available.

We recommend that the participants stay at the conference hotel; while other accommodation options are available, these will all require the use of rental cars.

Room Reservations: Reservations will be made directly by the attendee through a dedicated webpage or by calling the Hilton El Conquistador toll-free number 1-800-325-7832.

Discounted Rooms: The discounted conference group rate is available for online or phone reservations until February 15. When making your reservation, please be sure to use the reference code EBI2014.  Upon making the reservation, the hotel will require the first night's deposit with a major credit card.  All credit cards used to prepay the reservation will be charged immediately.  A refund will only be available up to 3 days prior to the arrival date. Attendees are responsible for room, tax, and incidentals.

Please note the hotel has extended the conference room rate for attendees who wish to increase their stay either pre  / post conference dates.

TRAVEL

Travel by Air: We recommend that out-of-state participants fly into the Tucson airport (TUS) and use the pick-up service provided by the conference hotel.

Arrival in Tucson: Tucson has a well-connected international airport (TUS) with regular flights from most major US hubs. The Hilton Conquistador is a 40-minute car ride from the Tucson airport. The Conquistador will provide scheduled airport pick-up service for conference participants at competitive prices.

Arrival in Phoenix: Tucson is about a 1.5-hour drive from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). If you wish to arrive in Phoenix, Arizona Shuttle provides a shared van service for $39 (one-way) to three locations in Tucson. Rental cars are also available at the airport.

Car Rental:
Enterprise / National Car Rental are offering participants of the EBI2014 conference University of Arizona rates during their visit to Tucson.

The UA rates apply to Arizona travel. This website only makes the reservation. Payment must be made at the time the vehicle is picked up at the designated location and is the responsibility of the individual making the reservation, not the University of Arizona. You may legally drive in Arizona using a valid driver’s license from another country. Vehicle rental companies may have additional requirements. Please be sure to check with them first.
