The Omni Royal Orleans is situated right in the heart of New Orleans' French Quarter, within walking distance to many of the French Quarter's historical sites, including Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathedral, and Preservation Hall, as well as Bourbon Street, and the shops off of the River Walk.  Not to mention - you are just steps away from both
Cafe Du Monde and Beignet Cafe.

LODGING
The IAPSC has arranged for discounted room rates at the Omni Royal Orleans, at $219/night.  If you require a room with two queen beds, the room rate is $239/night.

IMPORTANT:
Please note that shoulder dates are not available at the group rate,including for the night of Saturday, April 26 and can only be booked based on availability. If you are requesting dates outside the official block (April 27, 28, 29), please contact Chezka Solon at 415-536-0288 or via email at csolon@iapsc.org.

Cut-Off Date:
All reservations must be made no later than Friday, April 4, 2014 to guarantee the discounted rate.  Any reservations made after that date are subject to availability and is at the discretion of the hotel.

Local Airport Information

The nearest airport is the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, approximately 13 miles from the Omni Royal Orleans.

Ground Transportation
Shuttle service is not provided by the resort; however, there are a number of ground transportation options between the resort and all local airports.

  • New Orleans Airport Shuttle ($20 one way OR $38 roundtrip):  Reserve online or visit one of the many kiosks at the airport, located on the lower level, baggage claim area.  Advanced purchase is required.
  • Taxi Service ($33 one way for 2 passengers; $14 for each additional passenger).  Pick-up is on the lower level, outside the baggage claim area. There  may be an additional charge for extra baggage. Taxis are required to offer a credit card payment option.

Parking
The Omni Royal Orleans does have a garage with limited parking onsite.  The entrance is located Chartres Street.  Parking rates* are as follows:

  • Overnight Guests: $40.32/day
  • Daily (Sunday through Wednesday): $12/day
  • Daily (Thursday through Saturday): Varies (the first 2 hours is $12)

EXHIBIT HALL
The Exhibit Hall will be open on Monday, April 28 and Tuesday, April 29 from 7:30am - 4:30pm each day (set-up on Sunday, April 27).  The IAPSC Exhibition allows attendees to network with top industry manufacturers and service providers.

Space in the Exhibit Hall is limited and in order to better serve our attendees and our manufacturing partners, participation is by invitation and approval only.  If you are a manufacturer or service provider, and you are interested in participating in the IAPSC Exhibition, please contact us for details and availability.

GUEST PROGRAM & LOCAL ACTIVITIES

GUEST PROGRAM
This year, we are providing two options for our guests:

Option 1 - Monday, April 28, 2014:
Join your fellow guests on a 2-hour walking tour of the French Quarter.  Get an insider's view of the real French Quarter.  Sites include Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathedral, Pirate Alley, Tennessee William House, William Falkner House, as Bourbon Street.
Fee: $15 per person.  The tour will end at a location for guests to have lunch.
Minimum Attendance*: 10

Option 2 - Tuesday, April 29, 2014:
Spouses and guests are invited to take a step back in time on a tour of Oak Alley and Laura Plantations.  Oak Alley Plantation is one of the most photographed estates in the country.  It's been featured in films such as Interview the with Vampire and Primary Colors, as well as set the stage for Bo and Hope's wedding on Days of our LivesLaura Plantation, a 200+ year-old estate, is rich in history, starting from its days as a sugarcane plantation.  Join other guests and learn about the diverse culture of the River Road Region of New Orleans and the history of these two plantations.
Fee: $80 and includes guided transportation and tickets to both plantations.
Minimum Attendance*: 10

*If minimum attendance is not met by April 7, 2014, then the tour will be cancelled.  Guests will be refunded the full amount of their payment without penalty.

NEW ORLEANS JAZZ & HERITAGE FESTIVAL 2014
While New Orleans offers a wide variety of exciting excursions and activities, inclduing shopping in the French Quarter, viewing the beautiful estates of the Garden District, taking a haunting tour of one of the above ground graveyards, visiting one of the historic plantations along the River Road, or finding a new reptile friend on a swamp tour, IAPSC wanted to be sure you knew about the NEW ORLEANS JAZZ & HERITAGE FESTIVAL 2014

This year's jazz festival coincides with this year's IAPSC Annual Conference, April 25 - May 4.  The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival is the second largest party in New Orleans, topped only by Mardi Gras, so PLAN EARLY!

Past performers have included Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Santana, Nora Jones, John Mayer, Dave Matthews Band, Ben Harper, and many other inspiring national and local musicians.
