Did I Mention I Have a Medical Condition? Responding to FMLA/ADA Issues Raised During the Disciplinary Process
How many times have you made the decision to discipline or terminate an employee, only to have that employee tell you during the disciplinary meeting (for the first time) that their performance or behavioral issues are the result of a medical condition, a family situation requiring leave or some other circumstance that would afford them protections under the FMLA and/or the ADA? This session will help you effectively navigate through the disciplinary process and avoid the potential landmines of liability that can arise from mishandling these types of 11th-hour accommodation and leave requests.
