MONDAY, April 3rd  Baton Rouge      

    8:30 a.m.          Pick up at Staybridge hotel

    9:00                  Welcome Remarks  - Dr. Richardson, President Alexander, Provost Koubek – Efferson 214

    9:15                 Dr. Russin: Land Grant University system in the United States and History of Tech Transfer at LSU

    9:45                Introductions of Players in our Tech Transfer Office

                           Dr. Wade Baumgartner, Director

                           Alana Fernandez, Licensing Associate

                           Dirk Benedict, Marketing Coordinator

    10:00              Dr. Baumgartner:  Tech transfer overview - legacy, royalties, advantages

    11:30              Lunch at ACME restaurant

    1:30 p.m.       Dr. Russin: LSU Campus tour, discussions on revenue stream, alumni, connections with public, long term strategic planning of funding, etc. (Walking or Vans as needed) 

    3:30               Short break to refresh – Staybridge hotel

    5:00               Leaving Staybridge for evening reception at Emerging Technology Center

    5:30 – 7:00   Welcome reception at Emerging Technology Center

    7:15              Departure for Staybridge hotel

TUESDAY, April 4th  Baton Rouge      

    7:30 am          Pick up at Staybridge hotel

    8 am               A. Fernandez: Building faculty relationships, internal dialogue, LIFT program, recognition

                           programs, incentives, culture of entrepreneurism

    9 am               D. Benedict: Marketing Technologies

    9:45 am          Dr. Russin: Utilizing alumni relationships and mentoring

    10:30 am        Food Incubator Tour with J. Russin and G. Sandoz

    11:45 am        Lunch at Faculty Club (ON OWN) with Lunch Side Discussion for those interested: 
    Success story with Dr. Wu and A. Fernandez 

    2 pm               Return to Staybridge hotel for a short break

    4 pm               Depart for Burden Museum and Gardens

    5:30 pm          Crawfish boil and outdoor cocktails at Burden         

    7:30 pm          Depart for Staybridge hotel

WEDNESDAY, April 5th – Tour and discussions at LSU AgCenter Rice Research Station – Crowley     

    8 am               Depart for Field Trip to Crowley

    9:45 am          Dr. Baumgartner:  Finding Commercial Partners and Fostering Relationships

    10:30 am        Dr. Rogers Leonard – Cooperative Extension and Information Transfer

    11:30 am        Lunch provided by Rice Research Station

    12:15 pm        Dr. Linscombe:  Tour of Rice research station, partnership with BASF, research program

    1:30 pm          Monsanto Corporation on GMOs

    2:30 pm          Depart Crowley for Breaux Bridge Alligator Tour

                           Dinner at Pat’s in Henderson (ON OWN) 

THURSDAY, April 6th  Baton Rouge      

    7:30 am          Departure from Staybridge hotel

    8 am               A. Fernandez, Tech Transfer team, Dr. Russin:  Basic operations, processes, time lines

    9 am               Dr. LaBonte, Dr. Picha – Sweet potato program, potential ConAgra Skype, economic development

    10:30 am        Dr. Baumgartner: Intra-Institutional collaborations

    11:15 am        Tour of AgMagic, connecting with public, LSU recruitment efforts

    12 noon          Frankie Gould, LSU AgCenter Director of Communications will discuss how LSU AgCenter                       disseminates information to public – Efferson 214

    12:30 pm        Return to hotel Staybridge with Lunch on OWN

    2:30 pm          Departure for cultural experience – Cabela’s, Tanger Outlet shopping OPTIONAL

    7 pm               Closing Social at Staybridge hotel (2nd floor)

FRIDAY, April 7th – Covington, New Orleans      

          7:30 am          Check out from Staybridge

          8:30 am          Departure from Staybridge hotel to New Orleans

          11 am             Arrival to New Orleans, check into hotels, FREE PROGRAM at FRENCH QUARTER

           1 pm             Tour of Port of Baton Rouge and Mississippi (BY INVITATION ONLY) with following FREE

                                 PROGRAM AT FRENCH QUARTER 

SATURDAY, April 8th
