There are limited areas on Alcatraz that are closed, due to their fragile, potentially harmful, condition. Restoration of the Cellhouse will be complete in early 2018.

Height Ashbury Walking Tour (Guests only)  

Incubator of the Hippie Philosophy. Epicenter of the Counterculture Movement. Shelter for apartment-dwelling poets and future CEOs. Journey through the tie-dye district that was all that and more to the peace, love & rock ‘n’ roll generation. From 1964 – 1968, Haight-Ashbury was home to a cultural and political change that swept San Francisco, the United States, and ultimately the world. A walk through this historically significant neighbourhood will leave guests enlightened and inspired. A casual, light lunch in a popular neighbourhood restaurant is included in the tour.
