SAT 8:00-8:30am Morning Yoga with Bridget Birdsall

Yoga truly transforms lives. If you can breathe you can benefit from a daily yoga practice. So whether you’re new to yoga or a longtime practitioner, Bridget Birdsall, a certified yoga instructor, will share two simple twenty-minute yoga routines to build strength and flexibility, and improve your spinal alignment. People who practice yoga report greater resilience to illnesses and a calmer, healthier life. Writers and illustrators who practice yoga learn how to care for their bodies, minds, and spirits in a way that supports their creative life. Saturday we will work from our chairs. (Please wear comfortable clothes.)

SUN 10:00 - 10:45am Closing Keynote “Flying Fingers: The Habit of Play” – Speaker: Mary Amato

How does the desire for perfection and hope for success squash both the creative impulse and the dogged determination that you need to write? Mary Amato will share the intimate details of her love story with play, including the pitfalls and rejections she faced along the way. This inspiring and informative talk will challenge you to redefine your failures, change the way you approach your craft, and give you concrete tips that will make you eager to return to your desk to work—and play.

The conference will end with big prize raffles and drawings from 11:45am - noon. Must be present to win!
