Call for Abstracts
The Tucson Symposium Leadership Committee invites poster abstracts for consideration for the 2010 Tucson Symposium. Accepted submissions will be presented at this year’s event, on March 10-11, in Tucson, Arizona.
The theme for the 2010 Symposium is, “Driving Pathology and Oncology Forward to Improve Patient Care.” Abstracts describing research results on all topics related to biomarkers, lymphoma, genomics, stem cells and tissue diagnostics are welcome. Creative thinking, collaborative partnership, innovative research, and evaluation methods related to the conference theme are particularly encouraged.
The program theme, “Driving Pathology and Oncology Forward to Improve Patient Care,” encompasses multiple research areas and focuses on:
Key updates in lymphoma research and treatment
Real targeted therapy: here and now
the scientist's leadership role in global healthcare changes
Global industry challenges and strategies
On the leading edge of change: stem cells
New technologies impacting tissue diagnostics
Poster abstracts may be submitted on any topic related to the 2010 Tucson Symposium theme. The poster presentation sessions are an effective mechanism for research dissemination and networking.
Who Should Submit a Poster Abstract
Scientists, collaborators, and partners, including Ventana employees, and Roche colleagues, are all encouraged to submit poster abstracts. There will be two sessions (approximately two hours each) during the Tucson Symposium program, during which authors are required to be present with their posters. Attendees are encouraged to discuss and mingle with poster presenters during this time.
Approximately 30 posters will be accepted for presentation.
How to Submit a Poster Abstract
Submit your abstract by January 15, 2010, using the following process:
Expect to hear from the Leadership Committee within 30 days with notification of your abstract acceptance or comments.

Poster Abstract Submission Guidelines
Submit your abstract by
January 15, 2010,
following the guidelines below:
Abstracts must follow the format suggested
The body of the abstract is limited to 800 words (excluding headings)
Abstracts should contain the following content sections: Background, Objectives, Methods (including type of data collected), Results, Conclusions, and Support (if applicable).
There is no limit on the number of abstracts an author may submit.
You will receive an email acknowledgement of each abstract submission.
