Friday, August 26:

  • Recommended arrival day for delegates.
  • Transfer on your own from the airport to the Ramada Hotel Hamburg-Bergedorf (see the “Accommodation” tab, above, for details).
  • Conference registration will take place in the Ramada Hotel lobby from 09:00 until 17:00. Welcome dinner at 19:00.

 Saturday, August 27:  

  • Morning plenary sessions, with coffee break, featuring Friendship Force International updates and key-note speakers from Hamburg.
  • Lunch.
  • Afternoon and evening free to explore the region. Optional Leadership Seminar or city tours are available at this time also (see “Optional Tours” tab above for tour details)

Sunday, August 28:

  • Full day of workshops, with coffee breaks.
  • Lunch.
  • Evening gala banquet with entertainment and dancing.

Monday, August 29:

  • Day out in Hamburg with sightseeing by bus, then an organ concert, short service and reception in St. Michael's church (Hamburg's famous landmark) and a reception in the Town Hall - all organized by the Hamburg club.  Choose your morning departure from the Ramada Hotel and select a set lunch with the group or free time for exploring and eating on your own downtown. You’ll also have the option to take the group bus back to the hotel or stay downtown for the evening and return on your own.


Tuesday, August 30:

  • Concluding Plenary Session with coffee break, adjourning before noon.
  • Noon check-out from Ramada Hotel.
  • Departure for home or onward travel for optional homestay or optional post-conference tour (see “Optional Tours” tab).

Registration: Please remember to stop by to pick up your name badge, conference program and gift bag at the Ramada Hotel on Friday. Your name badge will be your pass to all the conference events for which you have paid.

Individual Events: The gala banquet is included in the price of your registration fee, however you may contact Debbie Powell at dpowell@thefriendshipforce.org if you would like to purchase additional tickets for the gala for €50. All other events, options, meals and sessions are for those attending the full conference and are not available for separate purchase.


Post-Conference Homestays:  We invite you to extend your time in Germany by participating in an optional four-night homestay from August 30 – September 3.  Hosting is offered by Friendship Force clubs located in the cities/regions of: Bavaria (sold out), Halle Saale, Hamburg, Kiel (sold out), Luebeck, Vogtland.

The homestay cost is €90 (transport cost additional, depending on host club).  If you prefer a specific homestay location, you may indicate your first and second choices on the registration form, however specific requests cannot be guaranteed.  You will be advised of your homestay location within 15 days of registration. If you have specific questions about the post-conference homestay please contact Barbara Stonebrink-Martin at bstonebrink@thefriendshipforce.org.

  • CONFERENCE FEE 280 (optional activities at extra charge).  Please note that all conference pricing is in EUROS

    PREFERRED PAYMENT for conference registration and optional events is by credit card
    (American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover or Diner's Club International).   If you do not have a credit card you may use one of the following options:

    a) To wire your payment directly to the Friendship Force account below select the "wire transfer" option at the end of the online registration process. Please identify your payment with the words "2011 Conference" and your first and last name. Please also include the 15 bank processing charge so that FFI will receive the full and correct amount for your registration -
