Continuing Legal Education (CLE)

An application for standard CLE credit will be submitted in: Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and Minnesota. California and New York consider one or more of the states we are submitting applications in to be approved jurisdictions for CLE credit.

Continuing Professional Education (CPE)

Participants will be eligible for up to 7.0 CPE credits (4.0 Business Law and 3.0 Finance).

The NASBA requires the disclosure of the following information to candidates for CPE credit, in addition to the information available in other areas of this web site:

Intended Learning Objectives:

  • Review the economics, trends, and outlook of today’s M&A transaction market, including financing for transactions
  • In depth exploration of major M&A deals that took place within the past year
  • Learn about important private equity developments
  • Receive practical guidance on ways to anticipate and resolve common employment issues in deals
  • Learn about the importance of representation and warranty insurance
  • Evaluate critical financial deal metrics
  • Recognize "market" and "non-market" deal terms, including whether there is a "market" for certain terms

Prerequisites:  Working knowledge of M&A markets and transaction processes and structures
