Holy God, Holy Lives

The culmination of our 2016 Lutheran Week is the NALC Convocation, beginning with the Mission Festival on Wednesday afternoon (and continuing through Thursday morning). All congregations are invited to participate in this event, as the Mission Festival is included in the Convocation registration fee of $185.00.  The fee includes Wednesday dinner and lunch on Thursday and Friday.

The business portion of the Convocation starts Thursday afternoon, August 11 and concludes Friday, August 12 at 5:00 PM. The NALC will gather under the theme, “Holy God, Holy Lives,” with 1 Peter 1:16 as our Scriptural foundation: “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” Our Convocation speaker this year is the Rev. Dr. Malcolm Guite, Chaplain of Girton College Cambridge, England. Dr. Guite describes himself as a poet-priest of the Anglican Church, giving lectures, concerts and poetry readings. He collaborates with musician Steve Bell, who will be with us again this year. The two will blend their unique gifts to highlight our theme during the Convocation.
