TRAVEL INFORMATION


     By Air

Kent State University is ideally situated in Northeast Ohio. Located just six miles off I-76, our campus is easy to find and accessible from neighboring Akron/Canton and Cleveland airports. The campus is around 55 minutes from Cleveland/Hopkins International Airport by car or 35 minutes by car from Akron/Canton Airport. Kent State University's Visitor Page lists some options for shuttle or cab service from local airports.

    By Car 

Kent State University is located just six miles of I-76 and the 824 acre campus fills the city of Kent, OH. If registration is your first step, follow the maps provided to the front lobby of the Center for Performing Arts. If staying at Kent State University Hotel & Conference Center, we recommend that you check into your hotel first as it is walking distance from the conference registration.

   Local Transportation:

We strongly recommend that all attendees consider staying at the Kent State University Hotel & Conference Center. It is walking distance from all conference activities. It is also the site for the Gala Faculty & Guest Reception.




PARKING

Parking on Kent State Campus:
Parking on campus is $6.00 per car for the entire conference.  Institution representatives are encouraged to order what they need in advance.  Should one require an addition permit, we will have additional passes available at check in. Please bring a check made out to KSU School of Theatre and Dance if needing to pick up a pass at check in.

Our Student Chapter of SDEO will be fundraising for Kent's Dance Ensemble's trip to Italy this Summer!  Please buy a t-shirt and plan to take advantage of our refreshment stand!

Food in the Performing Arts Building - Where you will be all day:
KSU-SDEO will be offering healthy and delicious food options for dancers on the move!  Picking up healthy snack items while running from class to rehearsal to class... will be easy during conference. More information to come.  Cash and CC will be accepted.

Off campus food options close by:
Within walking distance from campus are several eating options including: Arby's, Chipotle,  Duncan Donuts, Five Guys, Starbucks, Subway, Taco Bell, 2 Chinese Restaurants, a Thai Restaurant and other local favorites such as Rockne's (Large Variety) and Continental Grill (Mediterranean).
