Practical Discussion of Advanced Engineering Topics

Bloomington, Minnesota
Wednesday, May 01, 2019

This workshop will strive to help the cooperative engineer identify areas where their system could benefit from the application of advanced engineering solutions. The discussion will include topics on how newer technology can contribute to improvements in utility operations while considering the balance between risk, reliability and cost. It will provide a forum to discuss real work experiences—both successes and failures. It will also present an opportunity to delve into the details of items most of us have heard about but maybe haven’t had the opportunity to dig into or study. The facilitators of this workshop collectively have decades of experience working for cooperative, municipal and investor-owned utilities. Utility presenters also will help provide practical real-world input and solutions to the issues facing electric cooperatives.
