During registration, trainees will be required to upload valid proof of trainee status, such as a copy of current student ID or a signed confirmation letter from a primary research adviser on your institute's letterhead. This confirmation will be necessary to register as a trainee and receive the $50 discount for the 2-day NIH Regional Seminar.
The 2017 NIH Regional Seminar on Program Funding and Grants Administration is a 2-day event scheduled for May 4-5, 2017, offering sessions across 3 tracks for administrators, investigators, and research trainees. Optional pre-seminar workshops are also available Wednesday, May 3, 2017 for an additional fee. These include two half-day eRA workshops for those new to working with the NIH electronic application process: 1) eRA Grant Application Preparation & Submission, and 2) eRA Commons Account Administration & Post-Submission Processing; and an Administrator's Boot Camp for those with no application submission experience. To participate in the eRA and administrator's boot camp half-day workshops, participants MUST also register for the 2-day seminar. The NIH is also offering two half-day workshops for attendees interested in intellectual property issues and iEdison. Registration for the intellectual property workshops may be done separately and independently from the 2-day NIH Regional Seminar, if you choose.
This year, the NIH Office of Extramural Research and the HHS Office for Human Research Protections are offering a full day workshop entitled 'Getting through Human Research Reviews with Skill' on Wednesday, May 3, 2017. Participants for this workshop may register separately and independently from the 2-day NIH Regional Seminar.
