We have so many wonderful offerings at the conference! I am really excited about our new venture this year!
Rodney Schwan, as many of you remember from San Diego Hospice, and I will be rolling out a new program: Color My World with Sensory Wellness through Aroma and Sound for Holistic Health Practitioners and for Nurses and Healthcare professionals. Rodney is now known throughout the country (if not world) as the leading educator on utilizing aromatherapy for well-being. His connection with Scripps UCSD provides nurses opportunities to receive their own CEU's taking his program. With joining up with him, our students will be able to study with him and take their new knowledge into your local facilities on Aromatherapy and Sound Healing - i.e. Therapeutic Harp.
At the Iowa conference, our IHTP new Director of Development, Laurence Furr, will be outlining how each of you can reach out to hospitals, hospices and holistic communities to bring about the awareness of therapeutic harp coupled with aromatherapy. You are not going to want to miss this exciting new venture. It is the next step in bringing more attention to IHTP work and integrating it with modalities that not only bring wellness to many people but the health institutions are requesting! Rodney incorporates the Chinese Five Elements and the Enneagram as well as addressing Maslow's Hierarchy of needs into his program and it all fits so beautifully in our Color My World Program and the Celtic Circle. Our new project will help all of our graduates develop more playing opportunities in your state and community! We hope you can make it as this will be a very important direction utilizing therapeutic harp in the future. The network exists and we are learning now how to fan out to a greater public!
