The “Award for Excellence in Beamline Science” recognizes beamline scientists who have made significant scientific contributions in their area of research or instrumentation development and have promoted the user community in this area.
--Current CV of the nominee
--Nomination statement (1000 word limit) that integratively reviews the nominee’s accomplishments and identifies specific indicators of how the nominee’s work meets the award criteria
--Two letters of support from experts in the nominee’s field of research explaining and evaluating the candidate’s scientific and/or instrumentation contribution in terms of substance, quality, originality, and impact.
--Two peer-reviewed publications (either a URL link or .pdf document)
--PDF document of no more than 5 pages of materials such as press clippings, APS Science articles, etc. supporting the candidate’s achievements
