Description

With summer just around the corner, this time of the year is perfect for getting outdoors to shoot beautiful portraits on-location. From organic backgrounds to sunsets and cityscapes, shooting portraits in an interesting location can really be fun and rewarding.

In order to create breathtaking portraits outdoors, it’s important to understand natural light and how to shape and control it. This hands-on workshop with photographer Laura Tillinghast will explore several ways to direct and augment sunlight for stunning portraits on-location. Working outside can be unpredictable and in this class Laura will show you how she deals with harsh overhead sunlight, gusts of wind, overcast weather and much more.

In addition to these lighting techniques, Laura will also share her tips for making her subjects comfortable in front of a camera as well as how to get the best poses and expressions. Bring your camera with you for a chance to shoot during the class.
