This is a multi-hour CLE event hosted by the Parental Defense Alliance in partnership with the Young Lawyers Division of the Utah State Bar. In their outreach efforts across the State, members of our board of directors have interacted with many attorneys new to this area of law in juvenile court. Though our board is always happy to answer questions for any of our members or those new to the practice parental defense, we wanted to reach a wider audience with this training opportunity by working with the Young Lawyers Division. Although this training is intended to help jump start your practice, we are hoping many of our seasoned veterans will attend as well, to help lend your expertise and passion for the work.
Presentations will be by members of the PDA Board of Directors and will focus on the practical skills needed to successfully navigate a child welfare case from shelter through permanency and beyond. There is no cost to attend this event, and lunch will be included. We are in the process of applying for two (2) hours of CLE from the Utah State Bar. You must pay for your own parking in the lot adjacent to the federal courthouse building, or ride Trax.
