The Competition categories will include:
To be eligible for the Grand Championship, teams must turn in a box for all categories except any ancillary categories, which are optional.
Ancillary categories may be added, and any such additions will be advised to competitors before the Competition commences. Points awarded for ancillary categories will not count towards the Grand Championship.
Teams will be supplied with a cook-site of approximately 6m x 6m in size. The event site will have access to potable water, and limited power, however teams are responsible for all other supplies and equipment (including for example, marquees, tables, chairs etc as you require). You may wish to hire a marquee via this form and it will be set up for you before you arrive. Or you may choose to bring your own marquee, subject to it meeting acceptable safety requirements. Please provide the name and manufacturer of the marquee you will bring if you are choosing this option.
Teams must not sell food from their cook site under any circumstances, and must comply with the event food safety guidelines at all times.
Event induction and briefing
The KCBS contest representatives will hold a compulsory team briefing session at the event site Saturday 3 February 2017 (specific time and location to be advised). After the briefing session, teams may only start cooking once their meat and cook-site has been inspected by a KCBS representative and event staff.
More details will be provided closer to the event. If you have any questions in the meantime please forward them to email@example.com.
