Prerequisite: Treating Trauma and PTSD with EFT
Complex Trauma tends to have more severe and easily triggered life-long negative effects than simple PTSD. Complex and Developmental Trauma are usually interpersonal, repetitive and premeditated leaving the victim with a sense of betrayal and, most importantly, a fragmented sense of self. Because Complex Trauma survivors are potentially more fragile, and EFT is so powerful, many of the standard EFT approaches and protocols can actually result in re-traumatization and long-term damage to the client.
Treating Complex Trauma requires special skills to recognize and treat survivors safely and effectively. This program has been specifically designed to give practitioners innovative, practical strategies and hands-on practice blending EFT with other methods to help survivors heal.
