Description

ServSafe, ​a ​nationally ​recognized ​certification ​program ​for ​safe ​food ​handling ​practices, ​meets ​Pennsylvania ​regulations ​and ​is ​accredited ​by ​the ​National ​Restaurant ​Association ​Education ​Foundation. ​

Taught ​a ​Certified ​ServSafe ​Instructor/Registered ​ServSafe ​Proctor, ​the ​training ​covers ​topics ​involving ​food-borne ​illnesses ​and ​health ​risks ​that ​commercial ​food ​service ​establishments ​must ​learn ​in ​order ​to ​provide ​safe ​food ​for ​customers; ​including ​sanitary ​facilities ​and ​equipment, ​personal ​hygiene, ​time ​and ​temperature ​control, ​and ​much ​more. ​

The ​class ​also ​presents ​helpful ​small ​business ​information, ​not ​found ​in ​other ​ServSafe ​classes. ​In ​addition, ​a ​representative ​from ​the ​Pennsylvania ​Department ​of ​Agriculture ​visits ​the ​class ​to ​discuss ​regulations. ​
