The Essex County Community Foundation Arts & Culture Summit will introduce the Creative County Initiative, a new way of collaborative thinking about the future of arts and culture in Essex County. The Summit is an all-day conference for arts organizations, artists, Mayors and Boards of Selectmen, town and city planners, businesses and all who want to embolden arts and culture and the creative economy of Essex County. This event features presentations from leading international and regional experts on cultural planning, creative placemaking, public art and more. The Summit will spawn new cross-sector partnerships, introduce grant opportunities for projects in creative placemaking and public art, and provide networking opportunities with hundreds of peers committed to their roles in arts and cultural leadership.
With thanks to our funding partner, the Barr Foundation, the fee for this event is just $20 and includes a keynote address by Mark Davy, inspiring founder of Futurecity, an international placemaking platform for culture-driven community development, which will be held at the Cabot Street Theatre, lunch and two breakout sessions featuring additional afternoon presentations at Montserrat College of Art, just two blocks from the Theatre.
Please contact Karen Ristuben, firstname.lastname@example.org, for questions about the event, or Joan Henkels, email@example.com, for questions about your registration.
The Creative County Initiative is a project of Essex County Community Foundation, in partnership with the Barr Foundation.
