The Lead Instructor, Jeff Pricher is a former USFS employee with working experience in Engines, Hand Crews, and Helicopter Rappelling. He has been working in the Federal System for (20) years and has fought fire in several states across the Western and Central United States. Current Red Card qualifications include; EMPG, FIRB, FALC, TFLD, STEN, DIVS, and ICT3.
Students need to bring: (1) Chainsaw, Chaps, Leather Gloves, Hearing Protections, Eye Protection, Long Sleeved Shirt, Scrench, and Fuel/Bar Oil Containers for the Equipment (Preferably Dolmar.)
S-212 is a (4) day class. It includes 1.5 days of classroom time and 2.5 days of cutting out in the field. This class prepares students for the certification process. NWCG Certification of Completion will be issued at the end of the class. Task books will need to be initiated following the class.
