Did you know the civil penalties for export license violations have been increased from $50,000 to $250,000 per violation and criminal penalties have been increased from 10 years to a 20-year maximum jail sentence? These penalties are for export violations in conjunction with the EAR (Export Administration Regulations). If your staff is not aware of what the regulations are, or has not monitored changes in the regulations, then Export Compliance Training is strongly encouraged.
Upon completion of this program, you will be aware of the new export security requirements for all exporters. You will have an 11-point checklist to guide you to full compliance on every export. You will become aware of the required seven lists that must be checked on all exports and understand what common red flags mean to you. You will leave the program that day with a better understanding of the regulations and with specific tools and instructions on how to begin building a secure and compliant department and company.
This program is for anyone involved with exports, sales, customer service, traffic managers, purchasing managers, plant managers, shipping/receiving personnel, compliance officers and ISO managers.
As many of you know, classification is the hardest part of importing/exporting. How do you know the classifications used by your customs broker or freight forwarder are up-to-date? Do you know if you have any binding rulings with the CBP? When was the last time you received training on classification? How can you prove to customs that you used due diligence and reasonable care when determining your classifications? You will have these questions answered and more during the training.
This program will help you begin to understand how to use the Harmonized Tariff System for imports and the Schedule B listing for exports. Learn and review the six GRI – General Rules of Interpretation used to classify every product. By using the CROSS system we will show how CBP reviews binding ruling requests and what that means for your products. After the training, you will know where to go for help and what to look at when beginning to look at your own products.
This program is for traffic managers, purchasing managers, shipping/receiving personnel, compliance officers, sales managers, customer service managers and anyone involved or concerned with international shipments.
Cost of each seminar is $100 per person.
Includes all training materials, continental breakfast, breaks and lunch
Each class is eligible for (6) six NASBITE CGBP recertification credits (CEUs)
